The Community Foundation of West Alabama annually distributes in excess of $1 million to local charitable causes. Governed by a local board of 19 directors and under the oversight of Glenn Taylor, the Foundation’s mission is to encourage charitable giving.

The CFWA fulfills its mission by:

- Helping donors achieve their charitable and financial goals through services that facilitate charitable giving

- Providing responsible and professional management

- Distributing earnings from investments according to donor intent and community needs
